Product Description

Used SEM 818D Crawler Bulldozer Introduction

This pre-owned SEM 818D crawler bulldozer is a productive mid-size dozer offering good balance between power and transportability for site preparation, dam construction, and mining support tasks. Driven by a 180HP Weichai WP6G180E22 Diesel diesel engine coupled to a powershift transmission with torque converter, this dozer delivers reliable dozing and grading capability for earthmoving, site clearing, landfill operations, and rough grading applications. The Semi-U (SU) Tilt blade provides 5.2 of material pushing capacity with hydraulic angle and tilt adjustment for precise grading control. The robust crawler undercarriage with sealed and lubricated track chains ensures dependable traction across soft, muddy, and uneven terrain conditions. This unit has been maintained in active service with scheduled oil changes, undercarriage inspections, and powertrain servicing documented in the maintenance logbook.

Dozer Condition Inspection Results

Our inspection team has completed a detailed assessment of this SEM 818D bulldozer. The engine starts without excessive cranking and maintains stable idle with oil pressure within specification. Turbocharger boost was verified under load. The torque converter stall test was performed and results fall within the manufacturer's acceptable range. Powershift transmission clutch engagement timing was measured in each speed and direction — all within specification. The steering clutch and brake system (wet multi-disc type) was tested for modulation control and holding capacity on an incline. Undercarriage components were measured: track link pitch elongation is below 50% of wear limit; bushing outer diameter wear is below 20% of allowable; sprocket tooth profile shows normal wear pattern without hooking; track roller and idler tread surfaces show even wear without flaking. The blade assembly, including push arms, trunnion mounts, lift cylinders, and tilt cylinder, was inspected with no structural cracks or excessive pin clearance found. Ripper shank pockets and tips are intact with functional hydraulic actuation.

Bulldozer Shipping & Export Logistics

This crawler bulldozer is shipped via break-bulk cargo vessel or flat-rack container, as its fixed undercarriage does not permit Ro-Ro self-loading. The machine will be prepared for export by completing a thorough pressure wash to remove soil and debris, degreasing the engine compartment, and treating exposed metallic surfaces with anti-corrosion spray. The blade will be lowered onto timber dunnage supports and the ripper raised to transport position. All fluid reservoirs will be checked and capped, the battery disconnected, and the exhaust stack opening covered with a waterproof cap. Lashing chains will secure the dozer at the designated track frame lifting/tie-down points. Export documentation package includes: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin (Form E for ASEAN, Form F for Chile, or general CO), and ocean bill of lading. We work with heavy-lift freight forwarders for competitive shipping rates. Ocean transit estimates: Southeast Asia 5-10 days, Middle East 14-20 days, Africa 20-35 days, South America 25-35 days.

Post-Purchase Support & Technical Assistance

A fully documented pre-delivery inspection report accompanies each bulldozer purchase. We provide 7 days of remote technical support after the dozer arrives at your port, covering initial start-up check procedures, undercarriage track tension adjustment protocol, transmission and steering system familiarization, daily maintenance checkpoints including grease fitting locations, fluid level verification points, and filter element locations. A recommended wear-parts reference document is provided covering: engine service kits (oil, fuel, air filters), undercarriage components (track shoe bolts/nuts, roller guard bolts), blade cutting edges and end bits, ripper tips and shank protectors, and hydraulic filter elements. Through our international parts supply channels, we can arrange express airfreight or courier delivery for critical spares. We recommend the buyer's maintenance team perform a complete fluid analysis and track tension adjustment as part of arrival commissioning. This bulldozer is sold in its current inspected condition.
